Post-Acute Recovery Workshop
Convalescent Snakes & Ladders (aka Snakey) is an hour-long interactive workshop for resident doctors, healthcare professionals and others interested in exploring the uncertainty of post-acute recovery from the patient perspective.
Based on lived experience and medical humanities research, Snakey uses the familiar structure of Snakes & Ladders to make the contingencies of early convalescence visible and playable. Participants encounter changing capacity, conflicting advice, unexpected setbacks, small gains and the difficulty of making decisions when neither the patient nor the people around them know what recovery will look like.
The workshop can be facilitated online or in person. A Spanish-language version and a DIY facilitator pack are also available.
Menopause Is Bullshit! Instagram feed live
Menopause Is Bullshit! is a growing research archive collecting fragments of everyday menopause experience.
Outputs from the archive include an illustrated community feed on Instagram, where individual observations are interpreted and shared as the collection grows, and two limited-edition A6 zines bringing selections from the archive into print.
Further analogue and digital outputs will explore different ways of arranging, encountering and interpreting the growing collection.
